Axinom releases new features and updates for Mosaic and all included service on a regular base. Here is a summary over the last two weeks.

Latest releases:

Video Service​

New release of the Video Service.

Encoding Service can generate thumbnails (used as preview images) at regular intervals and include them as a part of the DASH representation. Any player supporting DASH IF OP 4.3 section 6.2.6 can display the thumbnails for any time index.

The preview player in the Video Service will also display the extracted thumbnails:

Encoding Service​

New release 2.44.25010.1 of Axinom Encoding Service.

Improvements to the Thumbnails feature:

  • Fewer required values – default values are applied where possible
  • Thumbnails are now cropped instead of stretching
  • Thumbnails enabled for CMAF and DashOnDemand
  • Thumbnails are also available for just HLS OutputFormat (but not referenced in the playlist)

DRM Service​

Widevine API 6.27.1​

  • Widevine SDK has been upgraded from v17.0.1 to v19.0.2.
  • White-listed Common Media Client Data (CMCD) request headers for CORS

Key Service 1.21.2​

  • Added SmoothStreamingProtectionHeaderData element to the Anevia response.
