Per-scene encoding or CAE (Content-Aware Encoding) is a technique used to optimize the size of the encoded output by applying different encoder settings to different parts of the video (scenes). An AI-enhanced solution continuously analyzes content in real-time to determine the best transcoder settings for outstanding video quality and lower bitrates. It's also known as CAE - Content-Aware Encoding or Content-Adaptive Encoding.

Per-scene encoding promises to reduce the output size by an average of 40% (and up to 70%) without compromising visual video quality. But how well it works really?

New release (R113) of Axinom Mosaic is available!

Changes:

• A lot of dependencies are updated to address known security vulnerabilities
• 🛡️ Support for Custom Identity Providers in the Management System (if they support OpenID Connect)
• 🏷️ Select and Tags components now allow the users to type the value they are looking for and the component will automatically filter the options to match the input. This makes it easier to find the right value, especially in long lists of * options.
• Many small improvements

Today we successfully completed our planned RabbitMQ Server upgrade from version 3.12.10 to 4.0.3.

We're happy to say that this major version upgrade went almost as smooth as we planned >=]. We opted for a Blue-Green deployment in this specific upgrade as it offered us the least disruption times.

Now all the existing definitions are migrated and unprocessed messages are federated into the new RabbitMQ Cluster, and all services re-connected.

Recently, we've released a number of additional features regarding user authentication in Management System:

• Redesigned sign in experience
• Configurable IDPs and branding
• Axinom Portal as IDP
• Simplified Microsoft Entra ID configuration
• Custom IDP

Here is a summary for the changes:

Redesigned sign in experience​

Sign-in experience is now more aligned with the industry best practices. Users can directly sign in with their email and password, or select one of the external IDPs (Identify Providers) using the bottons below. Which IDPs can be used on a given environment is configurable (see below).

New release 6.21.0 of Axinom DRM License Service (PlayReady) is available!

Changes:

• PlayReady Server SDK upgraded from v4.6.7604.13892 to v4.6.7607.0_QFE1. This is a security update released by Microsoft on Oct 26, 2024.

This is a so called required update that every licensee of the Microsoft PlayReady Server SDK has to incorporate into their Server Applications and Services within six months.
